• Incentives are important: co-operation or good performance should meet with tangible reward

Some Do’s may be:

• Keep things lively
• Use short, sharp sessions with plenty of involvement
• Establish clearly ‘What’s in it for me’ – or participants will lose interest
• Be flexible and ready for changes to plans at short notice
• Provide a good lunch!

Some Don’ts may be:

• Expect anything to be organized in advance
• Give too much trainer input
• Allow disruptive behaviour to go unchallenged
